Rosberg gains pole as session is shortened in America

Heavy downpour curtailed Saturday qualifying session citing dangerous conditions and the session was shifted to Sunday morning, which too had the same conditions but the session had to go through. After the Q1 and Q2 the session was stopped as rain was persistant and heavier ending up in finalising with Q2 times as the grid positions for the race later that evening.
